Two Sides to Every Story, at least...

What people think or how they perceive a situation has nothing to do with you, nor are your thoughts really about them.
You have heard the saying there are two sides to every story. That is because each person is seeing what they need for their growth and the two are not anywhere in the same lesson. You both came together for your own lessons. ‘They’ did not do you wrong, you ARE helping each other. How you perceive it tells you about you and has nothing to do with the surface situation. The lesson is deeper. We have no way of knowing what lessons other people have.
As long as you hold the other person responsible for your pain you will not begin to understand the lesson. If you look inside for the deeper message It can take you to some very unexpected places.
It IS worth the journey.

If you are a bystander witnessing such an interaction there are lessons to be learned by your thoughts and emotions. Lessons are for ALL those involved.

An Adventure

 WOW, Haven't written anything for quite a long time now. So much has happened. At the end of June I acquired a cold. We were changing truck companies and staying in a motel room (supposed to be smoke free) that reeked of cigarettes. OK that did not help any with the cold or my allergies. From Sheepy to right Meow. An Introduction.

I have always loved cats and I have always loved the sounds they make. The word meow meaning everything and sounds different all the time. But then I was sitting here thinking about a name for this blog. My husband kept saying how about My Meow's because I LOVE CATS. And I thought no, people would be thinking it is a cat site and over look it or the cat people would look at it and say YAY a cat site and then be disappointed that it wasn't about cats. So just to clarify, This blog is not about cats but they may creep in now and then. But strangely enough that is what I am calling it, WHY? Because I am obsessed with cats and they make things more interesting to me. So what is My Meow's? Negative Thoughts and Feelings

If you find a thought or feeling going thru you that you consider "bad" or "inappropirate" Don't repress it, or try to hide it in some corner of your mind and pretend it never happened. Instead, acknowledge it. Shine the light on it and really look at it. Where did it come from?, yes if you really look you will find it. Does it have any value? It really is a valid thought, there is a lesson there. What changes could you make to it that would make it a useful tool for you? Repressing your unwanted thoughts and feelings only builds them up until they try to break thru into your outer world for example as anger or some embarrassing act so you will finally look at them. Shining the light on them will teach you some very valuable lessons about yourself and can actually take away their negative power. Why play the victim and let your thoughts have power over you? After all this is YOUR journey, YOU are in control.
